Hump Day Dance Party June News

Heya everyone-

Coming hot off a great in studio performance last week by Lord of the Yum Yum I thought you might like to know what else we have planned for this month, as it's unusually busy here at HDDP central.

Wednesday June 14th
(9pm) Interview with Vice Cooler of the Hawnay Troof. Hawnay Troof, long a Hump Day favorite, has a spectacular new double disc out on Retard Disco entitled Dollar and Deed.

Wednesday June 21st
(8:30pm) Interview with Herb Diamante.
Join us as Dr. Drase talks with brand new Hump Day approved favorite, Herb Diamante about his new disc entitled "May I Light Your Cigarette?". The debut release from the mysterious Herb Diamante will transport you on a naughty journey through his speakeasy of debauchery and sin. These eleven tracks of alcohol, tobacco, and desire are driven by his rich, golden voice atop a psychedelic showroom of sound. Herb Diamante is perhaps the most unique lounge singer around. He sings songs about eggplants, yellow kazoos, and delicate stilettos. Then, he'll 'hail the fish-king' and finish you off with 'a wasp in a jam jar'. The elusive Englishman has finally allowed himself to be documented amidst a career built of legendary 'word of mouth' appearances on both sides of the Atlantic. A long, tragic set of strange circumstances and sporadic insanity has somehow combined to create Herb's extended and sometimes frighteningly vivid hallucinatory universe. However, he remains a hopeless romantic and will forever pursue his difficult and evasive vision.

Wednesday June 28th
(9:00pm) In studio performance with Aspic Tines. Aspic Tines is an interplanetary performer originally from the Andromeda Galaxy, who first landed in Germany and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. He plays an infectious brand of dancey synth pop and interstellar cabaret.

The Andromeda Galaxy (also known as Messier 31, M31, or NGC 224; older texts often call it the Andromeda Nebula) is a giant spiral galaxy in the Local Group, together with the Milky Way galaxy. It is at a distance of approximately 2.5 million light years from Earth or 770 kpc, in the direction of the constellation Andromeda. It is ruled by the Galactic Empire under the firm hand of his grace, Lord Desin Hy'Rah Emperor of The Seven Green Worlds.

Renowned as a seat of great knowledge and learning, Andromeda trades mainly in information. The Library of The Cosmos on Setik III is widely regarded as the penultimate collection of humanoid/android culture and science.
